Located in a temperate zone in the Andes mountains (elevation 2200 – 2600 m), flowers are in bloom every day and Cannúa enjoys year-round spring and summer like weather.

November to January and July to September are generally drier and warmer. February to May and October and November are considered the rainy seasons and are slightly cooler, though there are still plenty of warm, sunny days.

We want our guests to get out and explore, so we recommend you bring a good pair of hiking boots and comfortable clothes for during the day. Due to our elevation, the sun can feel quite intense so we suggest sunblock and a hat as well. The evenings can get cool, so a sweater or jacket are appropriate. It can rain even when we are not in the rainy season, and while we provide umbrellas and ponchos, you may want to bring a rain jacket. And while bugs aren’t a major problem due to our elevation, a natural bug spray may be useful.
We do ask guests to use natural, biodegradable skin and hair care products to the extent possible as these are easier for our water treatment system to process.
Most travelers to Colombia will only need routine vaccines as well as vaccines for tetanus, typhoid and hepatitis A.
